Vancouver British Colombia

JAPADOG.
This awesome street eatery boasts several locations offering a plethora of japanese inspired hot dogs.

The Oroshi: a pork bratwurst topped with green onion, special soy sauce and grated radish.
Our next pick was the "original" Beef Terimayo: a beef hot dog topped with seaweed and teriyaki mayo.
The stand boasts a number of 'exotic' condiments including wasabi mayo and ginger.

Vancouver is also home to the PazzaRella - Vancouver's first and only wood fired oven pizza truck, dishing up quality thin crust Napoletana style pizza. We caught this bad-boy on Broadway at MacDonald, although it appears to have no permanent corner to call its own.

Thin crust with tomato sauce, arugala, proscuitto and buffalo mozerella.
 Margarita.

Looks like the food truck trend has come to Canada.

Ma Peche

David Chang opened a more casual restaurant in the Chambers Hotel centered around Vietnamese food. His take on the traditional banh mi includes three different kinds of pate.

We started with the prawn vermacelli wraps.

Scarpetta New York

Another fine dining experience :)

Appetizers:

Involtini with tuna sashimi. Delicious!

 Pasta! Mi Amore!
While normally I would not order a plain spaghetti, I was told this was the best. And it was - just basic tomato sauce and basil. Yum.

Black Tagliolini with seafood ragout and basil bread crumbs.

Duck and foie gras ravioli with a marsala reduction.

Scott Conan did it wonderfully. I wish I could go back again soon.
